またクッキー作りましたー！ Cookies Again!

最近ベーキングをよくします。先日ブラウニーやチョコチップクッキーを作ったばかりだけど，またさらにブラウニー，オートミールチョコレートチップクッキー，オートミールレーズンクッキーを作りました。ときどきすごく食べたくなるので作っちゃいます。写真はオートミールクッキーの2種類と，寝起きの頭でオートミールレーズンクッキーを食べるウィリアム（笑）

I have been baking a lot lately. I baked brownies and chocolate chip cookies the other week, but I baked brownies, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and oatmeal raisin cookies the day before yesterday and yesterday. I sometimes crave for sweets and just have to bake some. The picture is of 2 kinds of oatmeal cookies and William eating an oatmeal raisin cookie with his after-nap hair. lol

やわらかいチョコレートクッキー Chewy Chocolate Cookies

今日の午後クッキーを焼きました。やわらかいチョコレートクッキーです♪カントリーマームみたいな感じだけれどもっとおいしい！

I baked some chewy chocolate cookies this afternoon. They were so yummy! :)

ブラックビーンソースを使った炒めもの Black Bean Sauce Stir Fry

これもまた事後報告ですが，先週牛肉，ピーマン，たけのこのブラックビーンソース炒めを作りました。ブラックビーンソースがなかなかおいしくてはまりそう～。

I'm not good at keeping this blog updated... This is also from last week, but I cooked this stir fry with black bean sauce. I think this is going to be one of my favorites!

ウィリアム初雪遊び William Plays in Snow for the First Time

もう10日ほど前のことですが，ウィリアムを雪の上で遊ばせてみました。初めての雪に最初はとまどっていたけれど，少しずつ慣れて最後には笑顔も見せてくれました。

This was almost 10 days ago, but I took William out in the snow and made him play. He didn't know what to do first, but he gradually got used to the snow and showed some smiles at the end.

オートミールカルメリータ Oatmeal Carmelitas

先週アメリカ人の友達に教えてもらったオートミールカルメリータというのを作ってみました。作っているときはすごくおいしそうだったけれど，実際に食べたらとても甘くて一度に少しずつしか食べれなかった。日本人には甘すぎ。

I got the recipe for the sweets called Oatmeal Carmelitas from my American friend and tried to make them last week. They look so delicious when I was making them, but when I tried them, they were too sweet for me. I could only eat a little bit at a time. I think they are too sweet for Japanese people.

フランスパン French Bread

この間久しぶりにフランスパンを作りました。いつも形は微妙だけれど，手作りはおいしい♪

I baked French bread the other week. It never looks perfect, but is always yummy. :)

ギョーザ Gyoza (Pot Stickers)

この間の土曜日餃子をしました。やっぱおいしー！今回は焼き具合がよかった♪　ところで，新年早々インフルエンザにかかってしまい，やっとよくなったところです。

We had gyoza (pot stickers) for dinner last Saturday. I love them! This time they turned out perfect. :) By the way, I got a flu soon after the new year arrived and am finally getting over it.

明けましておめでとうございます！ Happy New Year!!

一日遅れましたが，明けましておめでとうございます！去年はあっという間にすぎてしまったなあ。充実してたということかな。今年もさらに良い年にできるように頑張ります！

ところで，元旦の昨日は，車で一時間くらいのオレゴン州オンタリオにあるお寺に初めて行ってきました。正月の雰囲気が味わえるかなと思って。でも行ったら写真で見て分かるように全然日本のお寺とは見た目も違くて正月のお飾りもなしで，ショックでした。写真だけ撮って近くのファーストフード店で昼ごはん食べて帰ってきました。

夕飯は鉄板焼きをして大好きな肉を食べて一年の始まりをお祝いしました♪鉄板焼き初めてやったけれどなかなかよかったのでまたやりたいです。でも二人だと食べるのと焼くので忙しいからだれかを招待してやりたいです。

そんなわけで，今年もよろしくお願いします☆

A day late, but Happy New Year! Time went by really fast last year. I guess I can say I had a productive year. I'll do my best to make this year even a better one.

For the New Year's day, we drove about an hour to go to the Buddhist temple in Ontario, Oregon. It was our first time to go there and we were expecting to feel the Japanese New Year's atmosphere, but as we arrived there, we couldn't believe what we were seeing. There was a building that didn't look at all like Japanese Buddhist temples that had no decorations for the New Year. We were speechless. We just took the pictures and came home (after we had lunch at DQ. lol).

For dinner, we had Teppan-yaki (so we ate a lot of meat) and celebrated the beginning of the year.
