この間までめちゃくちゃ暑かったと思ったら急に寒くなって、我が家ではコタツを出そうか出すまいかと会議が行われています。昨日はあまりに寒くてヒーターをつけていました。今日（月曜）は仕事が休みで、今日から郵政民営化した郵便局に行こうと外に出たら、足元にあぶらゼミがひっくり返っていました。死んでるかと思ったら生きていたので手にとって写真を撮ってみました。おそらくこれがわたしがお目にかかる今年最後のセミじゃないかな。
Up until last week or so, it had been so very hot here, but It has cooled down quite a bit. It rained and was so cold yesterday that my family even decided to turn on the heater for a little while. Summer is over! I found a cicada this afternoon in the backyard. I thought this would probably be the last one I get to see for the year, so I took a picture of it. Isn't she cute?

Wow, you still had cicadas? I never remembered them staying around after August. Suddenly the noise would just stop.
Where I live, I see no more cicadas, but today I had a doctor's appointment in another city, and I still could hear them there.
