お父さんの還暦祝い My Dad's 60th Year Birthday Celebration

11月7日に父親の還暦祝いをしました。御殿場の中華料理屋に食べに行きました。妹夫婦が花と腕時計のプレゼントを用意してくれました。「芸は何もなかったけど、今まで健康これてよかった」という父の言葉に感動しました。でもそれを言っている父の隣でうんうんと縦に首を振っている母にそんなことないよと思いながら、内心納得？（笑）だけど、父が今までわたしや家族にしてくれたことすべてにとても感謝しています。

My family celebrated my dad's 60th year birthday on November 7. We went to a Chinese restaurant in Gotemba. My sister and brother-in-law prepared some flowers and gave my dad a nice watch. I was touched when my dad said he didn't have any special talents or anything, but being healthy. But as he said that, my mom who was sitting next to him nodded (she meant he didn't have any talents), and I kind of agreed with her in my heart, ha ha. But I'm grateful for my dad for everything he has done for me and my family.

お久しぶり～です！そろそろアップしないとやばいかなあと思って…。まずは11月にさかのぼって書き始めます。

11月中旬に、管理ビショップリックのバートンビショップとバートン姉妹、バートンビショップの幹部書記であるポーター兄弟をお迎えしてステーク大会がありました。神権会の間、バートン姉妹とポーター兄弟、名古屋伝道部会長夫人のトラベラー姉妹、静岡ワードの清美姉妹、柴原姉妹とともに静岡観光しました。東照宮や日本平へ行き、とても楽しい時間となりました。

It's been a very long time since I updated the blog! I felt in need of updating before the new year comes, so I will start off with the things happened in November.

In the middle of November, we had a privilege to have Bishop Burton of the Presiding Bishopric, Brother Porter his executive secretary, and Sister Burton, Bishop's wife for our stake conference. While Priesthood meeting was being held, Sister Burton, Brother Porter, Sister Traveller Nagoya Mission President's wife, Kiyomi, Sister Shibahara and I went to sightseeing around Shizuoka. We went to Toshogu and Nihon Daira, and had a great time.

ハロウィーンパーティー Halloween Party

10月29日，教会の英会話の時間にハロウィーンパーティーがありました。宣教師たちが中心となって準備してくれて，とても楽しいものとなりました。わたしはジャコランタンになりました。ちょっと恥ずかしかったけどとても楽しかった～。（笑）

We had a Halloween party on the 10/29 during the church English class time. The missionaries mainly did the preparation and the party was great. I became a Jack-o-lantern. I felt a little embarrassed, but I had so much fun. :)

神殿訪問と沖縄料理 Temple Trip & Okinawa Food

昨日は神殿に行きました。大阪と同じステークの友達もちょうど行くと分かったので、神殿の後で時間を合わせてランチをしに行きました。沖縄料理のお店にいきました。とってもおいしかったぁ！また絶対に行きたい！またみんなといろいろ話せて楽しかった～☆

I went to the temple yesterday. I had found out the night before that some of my friends from Osaka and from my stake were going to the temple as well, so we decided to meet up and go to lunch together. We went to an Okinawa restaurant, and the food was super delicious! I definitely want to go there again! I had a great time talking with my friends.

バースデー Birthday

今日はわたしの誕生日でした☆　朝起きたら何か勝手に両親が王将に行くことを決めていて、ありえなーい！って思ったけど、ランチに無理やり行くはめになりました。でも行ったからには中華丼と餃子とエビチリをおいしく食べてきました。となりのテーブルに座った4人組の男の人たちが、餃子30人前頼んでびっくりした～（＠_＠）
夜は家族とケーキ食べてお祝いしました。お腹いっぱい！明日からダイエットです。

It was my birthday today! I was not going to go anywhere today, but my parents had decided to go to Osho, a Chinese food chain restaurant that is famous for Gyoza, and made me go with them for lunch. I couldn't believe I was going to go there for my birthday, but I enjoyed the food I ordered. Four guys who sat next to our table ordered Gyoza for 30 People!!! I was so surprised and thought I misheard their order.
In the evening, I had some yummy cakes with my family. I'm so full now! I'm going to be on a diet. Starting tomorrow.

サムラート SAMRAT

先日、職場の友人たちとで、誕生日を含むいろんなことをまとめてお祝いして、近くのインド料理レストラン「サムラート」にランチに行きました。とってもおいしかった～。つい食べ過ぎちゃうんだよね～。ナン食べ放題だし。サムラート大好き☆

Some of my friends from work and I went to "SAMRAT", an Indian restaurant near by for lunch to celebrate many events including birthdays. The food was very delicious as always. I always eat too much, but can't stop eating. You get to eat nans as many as you want without paying extra money. I LOVE this place!

もう二週間前の日曜日だけれど、東京神殿で奉仕宣教師として働いている、ユタ州オグデン出身の伊藤ご夫妻が沼津を訪問してくれました。伊藤長老は以前にNASAで働いていたので、NASAのお話をたくさん聞くことができてとても興味深かったです。今日は前に沼津にいた加藤兄弟も訪問してくれました。よい日曜日でした。

This is about two weeks ago, but Elder and Sister Ito who have been serving in Tokyo Temple visited Numazu branch. They are from Ogden, Utah. Elder Ito used to work at NASA, so it was very interesting to hear his talk. Brother Kato who used to be in the branch visited us as well. It was a great Sunday.
