今日は大晦日です。あと1時間ほどで年が明けます。
It's New Year's Eve today. There is only one more hour left until 2018.
今日は午前中は普通に教会行きました。
In the morning, we went to church as usual.
And for the rest of the day, we just relaxed, played with William (more like William made us play with him), etc. William wanted three of us to have candies off the gingerbread house we made the other day, so we did so too. lol
そして今晩は大晦日なのでお決まりの年越しそば。天ぷらそばです。エビ,かき揚げ,しその葉,サツマイモを天ぷらにしました。ウィリアムは食べないので仕方なくミニピザを別に作りました。めんどくさい。来年はいろいろ食べるようになってほしいです。
For dinner tonight, I made toshikoshi soba (year crossing noodle) with tempura. William doesn't eat it, so I made a little pizza just for him. I hope he will start eating what we eat in 2018.
それから今日は鏡餅と明日のお雑煮用のおもちも作りました。鏡餅は餅に対してみかんがデカすぎますが(笑)それからちょっとだけおろし餅も作って食べました。やっぱりおもちは美味しい😋
And I also made mochi, one batch for a decoration and another batch to eat for breakfast on New Year's day. And a little bit of oroshi-mochi (mochi dipped into grated daikon radish and soy sauce). I love mochi!
