友達と公園で Playdate

今日はBorah Parkという公園で友達と遊んできました（写真に友達映ってないけど、笑）。今日は昨日と違って暑かった～。
We had a playdate with our friends at Borah park today. Unlike yesterday, it was so hot!

今日は七夕ということで、ささやかにお祝い。笹の葉が手に入らないので折り紙で笹を作って壁に貼り付けました（日本の友達で笹が調達できなかったという友達がやってたのを真似してみました）。
In Japan, we celebrate Tanabata (star festival) on July 7th. We usually decorate bamboo grasses (dwarf bamboos) with origami ornaments and strips of paper with wishes. Since bamboo grasses were not available, William and I made one out of origami paper (It was one of my Japanese friends' idea). 

William helped cut origami paper and we both had a good time. I was able to kill time with a long afternoon with a three year old too. :)
ウィリアムにも切るのを手伝ってもらい、時間も潰せてちょうどよい活動になりました。

ところで、先月植えたバラがこんなに成長しました！特に左の2つはすくすく育ってます。とてもいい香り♪
By the way, the roses we planted last month have been doing great. Look at all the beautiful flowers! (especially those two on the left.)

夕飯はマーボー丼。素なしで作るようになったけれど、なんとなく市販の味に慣れているせいか、イマイチって思っちゃう。
Out dinner tonight was Mabo Tofu, a Chinese dish.
