ヘアボール Hair Balls

Can you see how big the hair balls are?!

我が家の犬、ウィリーの両耳の後ろに、もっのすごい大きい塊ができてしまって、腫瘍ではないかと心配して病院へ連れて行ったところ、なんと意外なことにヘアボールが超大きい塊となって耳の後ろにくっついていたらしくて、バリカンで先生が切り落としてくれたらしい。なんともなくてよかったけど、病名「ヘアボール」には笑えたし驚いた。

My family's dog, Willy (they bought him while I was gone on my mission, and he doesn't like me, so I refuse to call him my dog) had a huge lump on the back of his both ears. We were so worried about him and took him to the animal hospital nearby. To our surprise, those lumps were "Hair Balls"!!! So, the doctor just brought an electric shaver and cut them off his ears. We were glad to know there was nothing wrong with Willy, but thought it was so funny and surprised to find out those lumps were hair balls. Made me laugh so hard.

ライアン Ryan

今日は、５年ほど前に沼津で専任宣教師として伝道したライアン・ラップ長老が沼津を訪問してくれました。沼津のためによく働いてくださった長老で１０ヵ月ほどいたこともあり、沼津のみんなはとてもなつかしがって喜んでいました。ライアンは今週から大阪で仕事が始まります。今晩夜行バスで出発する前に時間があったので、広瀬家族たちと浜へ行ったり、ご飯をおよばれして（ものすごいたくさん！でもとてもおいしかった）楽しい時間を過ごしました。ライアン大阪でも頑張ってね～！また沼津に来てね～ \（^_^）/

Elder Ryan Rapp who served in Numazu as a full time missionary about 5 years ago visited us today. He was a great missionay and was in Numazu for about 10 months, so all of us were really happy to see him again. He starts working in Osaka this week. Before he had to leave for Osaka tonight by bus, he had so much time, so we spent time together with the Hirose's. They took us to the beach and had us over for dinner. They fed us so much great food! We had a fun time together. Good luck in Osaka, Ryan! Come visit us again. \（^。^）/

命名式 Baby Blessing

今日は友達家族の赤ちゃん、ふうき君の祝福があったので、彼らの集っている静岡ワードへ行ってきました。奥さんの手作りのネクタイを旦那さんと赤ちゃんでおそろいでしていてほほえましかったです。これで祝福されたことだし、これからもすくすくと育ってね、ふう君！

There was a baby blessing for my friends' baby, Fuki. So, I visited Shizuoka ward today. The husband and the baby wore the same tie which their wife made. I thought that was so nice. Now that the baby has been blessed and we all hope the baby will continue to grow healthy.

ラミキューブパーティー Rummikub Party

あー、写真ぶれてた～。。。oops, the picture was blurry...

昨日（8/8）の夕方から教会の友達の家で、わたしの大好きなラミキューブをして遊びました。集まったメンバーみんながなんとB型で（赤ちゃんも）、超おもしろかった！（笑）ラミキューブやったことのない人、ぜひお試しあれ～！はまるよー。

Some of my church friends and I got gogether at my friend's house to play Rummikub, one of my favorite games. All of us were blood type B including the baby. We had much fun together! lol If you have never played Rummikub, oh, you should! You'll love it!

三輪家族 Miwa Family

わたしの友達の三輪家族が夏の間日本に戻ってきました（だんなさんの大学院のために現在アメリカのネブラスカ州に住んでいます）。いつも日本に戻ってくると一緒に食べに行きます（笑）。富士市にある王将に食べに行きました。8か月の赤ちゃんに実際会うのは初めてだったし、少しの時間だけれど、一緒に過ごすことができてよかったです。:)

My friends, Miwa family has been back in Japan for the summer. They have been living in Nebraska for the husband's graduate school. We always go out and eat whenever they come back to Japan. lol This time we went to "O-Sho", a chinese restaurant. It was good to spend time with them even for such a short time, especially since it was the first time for me to meet their 8-month-old baby. :)

よくなった！ I got better!

ドンタコスをたった今一袋たいらげたところ。

Right after I ate the whole bag of chips (right one).

あ～、やっとよくなったぁ。ここ2週間くらい何食べてもすぐにお腹がくだってしまって、全然食べれずに（けど体重は1キロも落ちずに）、おかゆなど消化の良いものを少ししか食べれなくて（食べたくもなくて）、食べるの大好き人間にとっては大変でした。病院でいろいろ検査してもらい、今日結果を聞きに行って、なんともないって言われてガゼン元気が出て、即ドンタコス一袋たいらげました。夕飯も大好きな肉を食べて、今も元気☆やったね。心配してくれたみんな、ありがとう！

Oh my, I finally got better! I had been having a stomach problem for about 2 weeks. I could hardly eat (yet I didn't lose any weight). I was only having digestible foods just a little bit at a time. I didn't even want to eat at all which is very rare for me. I had some tests done at the hospital last week and went back there to get the result today. I was told there was nothing wrong with me. As soon as I heard that, I felt much better and went to get some chips and ate a whole bag by myself. I had some meat (I love meat!) for dinner as well, but I feel fine. Yay! Thank you so much for those who prayed for me!

新しい聖典が出来上がりました！めっちゃうれしい！普通のサイズのものはハードカバーからソフトカバーに変わって今までの2/3の厚さになりました。そして今までなかったコンパクト版は、小さい聖書の大きさで、とっても薄くて軽くて持ち運びに便利！でも、目の悪い人にはダメだね～。

We now have a new version of triple combination! I'm so excited! It's got a soft cover now and is 2/3 thinner than the former one. And we even have a smaller combination we didn't have before. The smaller one is about the Bible size and much thinner, so it would be so nice to carry it with. I guess it won't be good to those of you who can't see small letters...sorry.
