ウィリアム2歳の誕生日 William's 2nd Birthday

He loves Monkey so I bought him a big monkey balloon.

We gave him a drum set.

I baked his favorite cheesecake for him. 

At Outback Steak House - He's eating free bread.

The staff brought a chocolate sundae and sang a birthday song for him.

8月29日でウィリアム2歳になりました！早い！元気に成長してくれていてうれしいけれど，どんどん大きくなっちゃってさみしい～！

William turned two on August 29th. Time flies! I'm glad that he has been growing well, but I'm a little sad that he is growing too fast!

ローマトマト Roma Tomatoes

同じ教会に行っている方からたくさんのローマトマトをもらいました（19リットルくらい入る容器に山盛り）。それでトマトソース（冷凍）を作ったり，保存用にトマトを瓶詰したり，ドライトマトのオリーブ油漬けを作りました♪たくさん作れてとても嬉しい！

A member from the ward gave us tons of Roma tomatoes (5 gallon bucket full), so I made some tomato sauce and dried tomatoes (in olive oil). And I canned most of them. I feel so blessed!

レモニーレモンブラウニー Lemony Lemon Brownies

ズッキーニがたくさん庭の畑になって使い道に困っていたけれど，インターネットでおいしそうなブラウニーのレシピを見つけました。おいしかった！

I didn't know what to do with all the zucchinis we get from our garden, and one day I found this yummy lemon brownie recipe. They were so yummy!

わさび生姜チップス Wasabi Ginger Chips

先月買い物に行ったときにわさび生姜味のポテトチップスを見つけました。わたしはわさびが苦手なのでおいしくないだろうと思ったけれど，日本のわさび味のお菓子に比べたら全然わさびの味がしなくておいしく食べれました。このほかにもマンゴーサルサ味っていうのも食べたけれど，これはわたしは好きじゃなかった。ブライアンはおいしいと言って食べていたけれど。

I found this Wasabi Ginger flavored chips last month at a grocery store. I didn't think I'd like them since I don't like wasabi, but it didn't have strong wasabi flavor at all and I actually like them. I have tried Mango Salsa chips as well, but I didn't like them. Brian liked them though.

やっとフォークを使うようになりました Finally Using a Fork

ウィリアム最近やっとフォークを使って自分で食べるようになりました。全部じゃないけど。でも，ブドウとか丸くてすべるものまでフォークで食べようとして刺さらないから怒ったりするんだよね～。

William finally started eating some food with a fork. But, he tries to eat things like grapes and gets mad because he can't stab them. :(

五十音 Japanese Alphabet

最近ウィリアムに五十音を教えようと思って「あい」「かき」「さし」・・・と頭2つを言ったら，思いもよらずに繰り返してびっくり。と同時にとってもうれしかった！これまでウィリアムが話した日本語と言えば「おいしょっ」だけ。苦笑　あとはみんな英語。Tree，foot，juice，cookie，apple，baby，など。10月に1か月ほど日本に行くことにしたので，ちょっと日本語話してくれるようになるといいなと期待してます。

I wanted William to learn Japanese alphabet, so one day I said some of the alphabets to him and unexpectedly he repeated me back! I was surprised, but at the same time I was so happy because the only Japanese word he has said is "Oisho"(oops a daisy type of thing). Other than that he say all the words in English like tree, foot, juice, cookie, apple, baby, etc. We are going to Japan in October for about a month, so hopefully he will start speaking Japanese more.

久しぶり～ It's Been a While

ブログをしばらくアップしてませんでした。忙しかったからのウィリアムから風邪もらってダウンしていました。これでここ3か月でウィリアムから風邪もらってダウンしたの3度目。つらいです。

ブログをアップしていなかった間に起きたことをアップしていきます。

まずはこれから。前に話した蜂の巣が大きくなってしまってついにブライアンがスプレーでやっつけました！まだちょっといるけどまあよしとします。

It's been a while since I updated my blog. I got busy, then got another cold from William (third time in the last three months!).

I'll post about the things that happened since I posted my last blog.

I'll start with the wasp nest we have had. It was getting bigger and bigger, so finally Brian sprayed the nest! There are a few more wasps left, but I say it's OK for now.
