ボイシ神殿 Boise Temple

今日の教会は地区カンファレンスで十二使徒のL・トム・ペリー長老と，七十人のブレント・H・ニールソン長老と，中央若い女性会長会顧問のニール・F・マリオット姉妹が話されました。良い集会だったけれど，途中ウィリアムがぐずり出したので集中して話を聞くのが難しかったです。

今日はブライアンが教会に残って書記の仕事をする必要がなかったので，午後から天気もよかったし，3人でボイシ神殿に行ってきました。ウィリアムは神殿が大好きで，昨日もCostcoに買い物に行ったときに神殿のそばを通っただけで寄らなかったのですごい怒って泣きわめいていました。だから今日行ってきました。もっと人がたくさんいるかと思ったけれど数人いるだけで，敷地内は貸切状態。ウィリアム走りまくってました。

We had regional conference today. Elder L. Tom Perry of the Twelve, Elder Brent H. Nielson of the Seventy, and Sister Neill F. Marriott, Second counselor in the Young Women General Presidency spoke through satellite. It was a great meeting except I had a hard time focusing on talks with William being antsy.

Since it was such a nice day and Brian didn't have to stay at church to do clerk jobs after church today because of the conference, we went out to the temple grounds and let William play for a while. He loves temples. Yesterday as we went to Costco, we saw the temple since it's very close, but of course we didn't stop by, just saw it. Then William threw a fit like no other. So, that's one of the reasons we took him to the temple today. There was hardly anyone there, so William was running around and had a blast.

青と黒？白と金？ Blue and Black, or White and Gold?

今日の話題はこれ。世間で話題になっているというこのドレス。3/4の人が白と金に見えるらしい。わたしは残りの1/3で最初青と黒に見えたのだけれど，これをfacebookでシェアしようと思って後でもう一度写真を見たら，今度は白と金に見えて，でもそのうちまた青と黒に戻ったの。面白い！みんなはどっちに見えるかな？

So, this is apparently what people have been talking about all day. I heard that 3 out of 4 people see this dress as white and gold, and I could only see it as blue and black when I saw it first. But then when I tried to share this on facebook and looked at the picture, it was white and gold all the sudden, but then changed back to blue and black. Very interesting. Which colors do you see?

歌 Songs

今日はウィリアムが，教会の『子供の歌集』の中から「『モルモン書』の物語」と「神殿に行きたいな」の2曲をピアノで弾くようにせがんできて，しばらくの間交互に歌いながら弾いて，20回くらいは歌ったと思う。夜はご飯食べてからまたピアノと言って同じ2曲をせがんできたので，今度はブライアンに代わりにやってもらいました。笑　もちろんその間に台所の片づけをちゃんとしましたよ。

William wanted me to play the piano and sing Bood of Mormon Stories and I Love to See the Temple from Children's Songbook today. So I did for a while, like at least 20 times. He wanted the same two songs again after dinner, so this time I asked Brian to play the piano and sing. I had a good excuse. I had to do the dishes. :)

今晩の夕飯は久しぶりにタコサラダ。わたしはチップスの代わりにご飯でタコライスにして食べました。おいしかった～♪

We had taco salad for dinner tonight. It had been a while. I used rice instead of chips though. Yum.

1ドルショップ Dollar Store

 今日は日本でいう100円ストアに行きました。ボイシに来て3年以上たつけれど，何と初めて行きました。というのも，昔プロボに住んでいたときに1ドルショップに行って，あまりのひどさに驚いてもう二度と行かないと思っていたから。でも今日行ったら，昔に比べてすっごい進化してて，これから1ドルショップに行きまくるような気が。。。写真を撮りたかったけれど結局撮りませんでした。

William and I went to dollar shop today. It was the first time to go to a dollar store in Boise since I moved here three years ago. I went to one of the dollar shops when I was living in Provo a long time ago, and I was so shocked to find it so terrible that I decided I didn't want to go there again. So, it was shocking when I went into the store today and find it all different (improved dramatically). I have a feeling that I will be going to the dollar shop often from now on. I wanted to take a picture of the store, but ended up not taking one, so no picture for that.

ウィリアムは相変わらず偏食で，ここ数日はチーズをよく食べます。でもピックで刺さないと食べなかったり，ピックで刺してチーズが割れたりすると泣きさけんで食べなかったり，いい加減にしてほしいと思うことがよくあります。今晩は，ずーーーーーーーーーっと「カップケーキ」と言ってだまらなかったので，夕飯の後に作りましたよ，カップケーキじゃないけど，バナナチョコマフィン。寝る直前にぱくぱく食べてました。

This past few days, William has been eating cheese a lot. It's good but he sometimes doesn't want to eat unless he eats them with picks, and sometimes the pieces of cheese break into half when he stabs the pieces with picks, then he throws a fit and screams! He sometimes drives me nuts! Tonight, he kept asking me for cupcakes all night and wouldn't be quiet, so I baked some banana chocolate chip muffins after dinner. He was eating them before he went to bed.

こちらは食パンにニンジンのすりおろしたのを入れて焼いたやつ。ウィリアム，野菜食べないけどホームベーカリーで作ったパンなら食べてくれるから，混ぜてやった。うまくできたから，今度いろんな野菜でやってみたいと思います。

I baked a loaf of bread with grated carrots. It turned out good. William doesn't eat veggies, but he loves bread, so this will be good for him. I want to try out different veggies. 

1歳の誕生日 1st Birthday

そう言えばですが，先日21日は妹の二番目の子，貫太くんの1歳の誕生日でした。これは妹から送られてきた写真です。食べ物とかケーキとか半端なくすごい～。とてもできない。。。

It was my younger sister's 2nd son, Kanta's 1st birthday on the 21st. These are the pictures my sister sent me. The food and cake she cooked for Kanta are awesome. I can't do the same.

それから，今日はブライアンの弟ダニエルの二番目の子，サムくんの1歳の誕生日でした。これはダニエルから送られてきた写真。サムくんにミーアキャットのぬいぐるみとトラックの本を送ってあげました。喜んでくれてよかったです。ちなみに自分の実の妹の子には何もプレゼント送ってません（汗）。

And today was another nephew of mine's 1st birthday. He is Brian's younger brother Daniel's 2nd son. We sent him a stuffed meerkat and a truck book. Glad he seems to like them. By the way, I didn't send anything for my sister's baby...

図書館 Library

アルパカちゃんで～す

This is his (actually Brian's) alpaca.

毎週火曜日の午前中に，乳幼児対象の読み聞かせが近くの図書館であります。ウィリアムに少しでも楽しめる時間を作ってあげようと思って行くのだけれど，本人はぜーんぜん興味ない感じで，無反応。最後にシャボン玉やおもちゃを出してくれたりして子供たちははしゃいでいるのに，ここのところそれもまったく興味なし。ところがその場を離れると人が違ったように話し出し，家でも一日中騒ぎまくりで，今日はたくさん歌って遊んでお母さん頑張ったつもりです！ウィリアムは時々ぬいぐるみの動物たちを昼寝させるのが好きで，自分のブランケットをかぶせて「ねんね」と言って寝させてます。で，起きるとおもちゃの食べ物をあげたり，それをよく手伝わされます。

On Tuesdays, there is a story time for babies/toddlers in the morning at the Library nearby. I take William out so that he can have fun, but he doesn't show any interests in anything they do. He doesn't seem to care the books they read, doesn't participate in dancing to the musics, doesn't even want to touch the bubbles and toys they provide at the end. :( But, as soon as we leave the place, he starts talking like no other and hard to make him keep quiet. After we came home, we did so many things together all day. Mommy tried and think she did a good job today! I like how William tries to make some of his stuffed animals take a nap. He puts his blankets on them, and when they wake up (or rather when he wakes them up), he tries to feed them his toy foods. I am often asked to help him feed them.

ところで今日も良い天気で，ぽかぽかしていたので，外では鳩が仲良くひなたぼっこしていて気持ちよさそうでした。

By the way, it was a beautiful sunny day today again. I saw some doves sitting on the tree branches. They were so cute.

家庭の夕べ Family Home Evening

今晩の家庭の夕べは，レッスンにはビデオ（アニメの聖典物語から2つ）を見て，活動にはバスケットボールで遊びました（少し前にやったＰＩＧというゲームです）。ウィリアムはいつもこんな感じにダンクシュートするので，ほぼ百発百中決まります。（笑）

For FHE tonight, we watched a couple of animated scripture story videos for the lesson, and played basketball (PIG) for the activity. William always shoots like this in the picture, so he makes a goal almost a hundred times out of a hundred. :D
