今晩「活動の日」の活動があり，イースターエッグハントをやりました。プラスチックの卵の中にはキャンディーの他に教会の「信仰箇条」が書かれた紙が入っていて，それを子供たちに1から13まで順番に並べてもらいました（紙に番号は書かれてない）。その後で，ペアになって幾つか暗記してもらいました。昔覚えたけれど今全然暗記では言えないから，わたしも頑張ってもう一度覚えないとなあと思いました。
There was an Activity Days tonight and we did Easter egg hunt. In the plastic eggs, there were pieces of paper with The Articles of Faith, each one on each piece of paper. The girls were supposed to make them in order (the numbers were not written on the paper). After they were done with that, we had them try to memorize some of them (kinda bribed them with candies, ha ha). I tried to memorize them a long time ago, but now I can only recite a few. :( I should memorize again.
持ち寄りのランチ Potluck lunch
今日初めて「ベビーの会」に参加しました。ボイシとその周辺に住む日本人のお母さんたちで小さい子供のいる方たちの集まりです。今日は昨日復活祭だったこともあって，イースターエッグハントをしました。ウィリアムはやる気全然なかったので，せかして拾わせました。笑 たくさんの小さいお友達の中に入って遊ぶのに躊躇しているようだったけれど，帰る時には帰りたくなくて泣いて大変でした。わたしも久しぶりにたくさんの日本人の方に会って久々にすごい緊張しました。
I attended an activity for the Japanese moms' group for the first time today. It's a group for Japanese moms with little kids around Boise area. We did Easter egg hunt today since it was Easter yesterday. William didn't seem so excited at collecting eggs, so I had to kind of make him pick them up. He was hesitant to mingle with many other kids, but he cried as we were leaving because he wanted to stay and play. I was nervous to meet so many Japanese people as well. It had been a while since I got that nervous.
今日はイースター（復活祭＝イエス・キリストの復活を祝う日）でした。イースターの日が毎年いつなのかあやふやだったので，ブライアンに確認したら，春分の日から初めての満月の次の日曜日（The fist Sunday after full moon and spring equinox）ということでした。月のサイクルの影響でイースターの日が毎年変わるわけです。なーるほど。だから毎年3月だったり4月だったり。4月の第1日曜日だったっけな？あれ，でも3月だった時もあったよなとか不思議に思ってました。さすがブライアン。わたしの歩くウィキペディア！笑
Today was Easter. I wasn't sure when Easter was every year. I kept wondering if it was a certain Sunday in April like some other holiday or what. But I remembered sometimes there have been times that Easter was in March, so I was all confused. So, I asked Brian who is my living Wiki. lol He said it's on the first Sunday after full moon, and spring equinox. So, because of the moon cycle, we have full moon on a different day every year and that determines when Easter would be. That makes sense, totally answered my question.
今日は昨日に引き続き総大会で午前と午後の部会を見たけれど，ウィリアムがうるさかったのであまり集中できませんでした（－＿－；）二つの部会の間に部屋の中でエッグハントをやりました。昼ごはんの前にやってしまったので，ウィリアムはご飯の代わりにプラスチックの卵の中に入っていたチョコだけしか食べたがらず，失敗したなと思いました。来年はご飯の後にやること覚えておかないと。。。
We watched general conference again today, but William was constantly talking or interrupting us and had a hard time listening to the speakers. :( In between the sessions, we did Easter egg hunt in the house. Note to myself - Don't do it before meal. After William had some chocolate that was in the plastic eggs, he didn't want to eat real food at all. He just kept wanting to eat chocolate.
総大会の後は家族とのディナーがあったので，Caldwellに行きました。子供たちはディナーの後でゆで卵をカラーリングしました。うちはおととい卵をゆでたけれどカラーリングしている時間がなかったので，明日の家庭の夕べでやろうと思います。
After the conference, we went to Caldwell for family dinner. After the dinner, kids dyed eggs and had fun. I boiled eggs the other day for my little family so we could dye them, but didn't get to do it, so I'm thinking we will dye them tomorrow for Family Home Evening activity.
今日明日は末日聖徒イエス・キリスト教会の総大会。年に2回，預言者や使徒たちから説教を聞く機会があります。ウィリアムが落ち着いていないのでなかなか集中して聞けないのが実際のところだけれど，すぐにまたインターネットでも視聴できるし，教会の機関誌でも読み直せます。
It was the first day of the semiannual general conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. It's a great opportunity to listen to the living prophets and apostles. It has been hard the past few conference with William having not much attention span. I'll have to watch it again online or read conference issue of the church magazine.
明日は復活祭（イースター）なので，ひよこに見立ててデコレーションしたカップケーキを作って近くの知り合いの家に持って行きました。あとウィリアムのいとこたちにもあげました。ひよこって言うより，どちらかと言うとフグみたいになっちゃったけれど（笑）
Tomorrow is Easter, and I baked some chick cupcakes. They looked more like blowfish though. I gave them to some church members nearby and to my nieces and a sister-in-law too.
夕方総大会の一般部会が終わった後，家族の他のメンバーと本屋に集まって，毎年恒例のイースターブックのイベントしました。毎年ブライアンの両親が，わたしたち（子供，孫）に一冊ずつ本を買ってくれます。今年はわたしはLittle Women（若草物語）にしました。でも実は去年の本（A Little Princess）もまだ読んでいなくって，そっちを先に読まないと。それでその次はクリスマスにもらったピーター・パン。それでやっとLittle Womenが読める。目標は5月末までに。さてどうなるか。。。
After the general sessions of general conference, the family got together at Barnes & Noble for Easter Books. This is a family event we hold each year for Easter. Brian's parents buy us kids and grandkids a book for each to read. This year I got Little Women. I'm excited to read it, but I have to read A Little Princess, which was last year's first. lol Then Peter Pan, a Christmas gift. I'm planning on finish reading A Little Princess by the end of May. I'll see how that goes.
今日スーパーで買い物してるときに，イースター仕様のペッツを見つけたのでウィリアムに一つ買ってあげました。2枚目の写真は家に帰って来て全部（まあ一包み10粒くらいしかないけど）食べてしまった後に，怒ってぐずっている様子。あと一包みあるのでまた明日。ウィリアムはもう何もないと思っているからきっと喜ぶと思うけど，それが終わったらまたぐずるんだろうな。。。
さあ，明日あさってはいよいよ総大会。一日テレビの前に座って話を聞くことになるけれど，ウィリアムがどれだけ静かにしていてくれるか。。。
I saw some Easter version of PEZ at the grocery store today, so bought one for William. After we came home William ate all the candies (one packet) and he was mad that the candies were gone. He whined for a while. I still have another packet to give him tomorrow, but he doesn't know. I'm sure he will be happy when he finds out, but I'm also sure he will get mad again when the candies are gone!
It's general conference tomorrow and Sunday. We will be sitting in front of TV and watch it, but I wonder how William will do.
今日は天気よかったけれど少し気温が低くて寒かった。午後は結構天気良かったのでウィリアムに外で遊ぼうと言ったのだけれど行きたがらず，夜になってもっと寒くなったころに外に行って遊びたがり，夕飯の後にブライアンと裏庭で少し遊んでました。もっと暖かいときに行っとけばいいのにって思うんだけれど，わたしとじゃ外で遊びたがらなくって，ブライアンとじゃないと嫌みたい。
It was a bit cold today, but got warm enough in the afternoon. I asked William if he wanted to go outside and play, and he said no. :( But he wanted to go outside and play with daddy after dinner when it got a lot cooler. I think he should go outside during the day, but he doesn't really want to play with me outside, but with Brian.
最近去年の秋にすっかり葉の落ちてしまった木々の枝から葉っぱが出てきました。そのうちすぐに葉っぱでいっぱいになるんだろうな。
Leaves are coming out of the branches of the trees that had lost all the leaves this last fall. Soon the trees will be filled with green leaves.
今日はチャレンジグループ3日目。最初の日よりは体が慣れてきた。食欲は全然抑えられない。。。
It was the 3rd day of the challenge group. My body is getting used to working out, but it's just hard to control my appetite...
今日はウォールマートへ買い物に行く途中に神殿が見えて，ウィリアムが神殿に行きたいと騒いできかなかったので，一度家に帰ったけれどまた戻ってきて神殿の敷地で1時間ほど遊びました。今日はちょっと気温が低くて風があったので寒かったけれど天気良くて気持ちよかったです。神殿にはたくさんのチューリップが咲いていてとてもきれいでした。ウィリアムは「チューイッチュ」と繰り返し言ってました（笑）
On the way to Walmart, William saw the temple and started whining because he wanted to go to the temple instead. We passed by the temple on the way home but just passing by it wasn't enough for him, so after we came home we went back to the temple and played on the grounds for like an hour. It was sunny but a bit windy and cold. There were so many tulips blooming and they were so beautiful. William kept saying "Chuichu"(tulip). :)
それからやっとウィリアムのために小文字のアルファベット学習用のカードを作りました。写真の4つのカードの小文字はウィリアムにとってみんな“P”（笑）元気にピー，ピー，ピー，ピーと4回言ってました。自分も2歳でこれを学ばなくちゃならなかったら，みんな同じに見えるだろうな。
I finally made alphabet cards for William to learn lowercase letters. There is one for each letter. These four cards in the picture are confusing to him. All four lowercase letters are "P"to him and I would get confused too if I had to learn this when I was two!
