今日はレイバー・デーで祝日でした。ブライアンも仕事休みでした。大学時代のルームメイトがユタからワシントン州に帰る途中でボイシを通るということで，一緒にランチをしました。ちょうど6か月になったばかりの愛娘のヘイリーちゃんにも初対面できました♪こうして何年たっても連絡を取り合うことができてとてもうれしいです。
It was Labor Day today, so Brian didn't have to go to work. Kathy, one of my roommates from BYU emailed me saying she was going to drive through Boise on the way home to Washington (from Orem Utah), so we met up for lunch and had a short reunion. It was so nice to see her and her husband Grant, and meet their 6 months old baby girl, Hailey! She was so adorable! I'm grateful for the friendship we have had over the years.
で，夜はまたシシカバーーーブ！やっぱ最高においしかったです☆ブライアン，バーベキューしてくれてありがとー！
And we had shish kebab for dinner! I just love it! Thanks Brian for cooking!
今日は近所に住む教会の友達が，自分の家の畑で取れたトマトがたくさんあるからくれるというのでもらいに行ってきました。うちの畑のトマトはミニトマト以外全然だめだったからうれしい♪トマトソースでも作ろうかな。
A church friend gave me a ton of tomatoes from their garden today. Our tomatoes didn't do well this year, so I'm happy about these tomatoes. I can probably make some tomato sauce.
今週も日曜日だけどブライアンの家族が不在なので家で夕飯。クリームシチュー♪夏が終わって暖かいものが作れるようになってきました。
Since Brian's family is still out of town, we just stayed home for dinner. I made cream stew. Summer is over and now I can cook some warm food. :)
今月はわたしたちの教会のワード（キンボールワード）が教会の掃除をする担当月で，今朝行くようにサインアップしてあったので8時半から行ってきました。いつもだいたい窓を掃除するように割り当てを受けて，今日も窓でした。今日は人数が少なめだったので1時間かかったけれど奉仕する機会があってよかったです。
This month is our ward's turn to clean the church building. We signed up for this morning, so we went to the church this morning. We usually get assigned to clean the windows, and we got to clean the window again today. We know how to do it well now. :) There weren't many people today, so it took us an hour, but I'm glad that we had the opportunity to serve.
今日はそれからまたクローゼットの整理をし，お昼ごはんを食べてからはウィリアムが空港行きたいとずーっと言っていたので行ってきました。管制塔を見るのと空港のエスカレーターなどで遊ぶのがおもな目的です。今日はなんと空港の待合場所の近くにゲームコーナーがあるのを発見してしまい，そこになんと機関車の乗り物があってウィリアムはしばらくそこに座ってました。５０セント入れれば動くはずなのに，壊れてたみたいで全然動かなくて残念。
After we were done with the church cleaning, I started organizing our closets again. Then after we had lunch, we went to the airport because William had been wanting to go see the control tower and climb up and down the escalators, etc. Today we found a little game corner where there was an engine ride. William got excited and was sitting on it for a while. We put 50 cents to make it work, but it didn't move a bit. I guess it was broken. :(
家に戻ってからは今度は物置と車庫の掃除。この2年半近くまったく掃除したことがなかったんです！特に物置にはもとからあった大きな空段ボールが物置の半分くらいを占めていたので，それを取り除いたらこんなにすっきり！まだまだ自分たちが越してきたときの段ボールを整理する必要がありますが，とりあえずひと段落ついてよかったです。そしてその後はバーベキューハンバーガー。いつもながらおいしかったです♪
After we came home, we decided to clean the shed and garage. We have been living in this house for nearly 2 years and a half, but had never cleaned them before. There were so many big cardboard in the shed and after Brian removed them, the shed had a lot more room. We swept the floor and got some spider webs off, both for the shed and the garage, and they both look nicer. They still need a lot more work, but it was a good start. And after we were done, we had BBQ hamburgers. It's still my favorite. :)
今日は金曜日で，朝スーパーに買い物に行く以外には特に用事がありませんでした。パクチーが腐りかけていたので使いたいと思い，ホームメイドサルサを作ることにしました。まあまあおいしくできました。
There was nothing special going on today, so I was trying to organize closets and playing with William. Then I decided to make homemade salsa since cilantro was going bad and I wanted to use it up. It turned out pretty good. :)
夕飯は，何を作っていいかアイデアが思い浮かばず，朝ブライアンがピザでも買ってこようか？と言っていたアイデアを借りてピザを作りました。サラミとマッシュルームとピーマンのピザです。ピザはいつ食べてもおいしい♪
I had no idea what to cook for dinner tonight. Before Brian left for work this morning, he told me that he could just go get some pizza for dinner, so I just stole his idea and made pizza. I can have pizza anytime! :)
ところで昨日からとても寒ーい！今朝も結構冷え込んでついに暖房入れました。もう夏は終わりです。
It's been pretty cool since yesterday. I had to turn on heater this morning. Summer is over for sure.
今日は図書館でのYMCAの幼児教育プログラム二回目。ウィリアムは今日はパズルとブロックに興味を持ってやっていました。人数が多いので次回から子供一人一人に注目できるように二組に分かれることになりました。もう一人の教師が見つかるまでは本来週2回のところを各グループ週一回ずつ参加することになります。参加者の中には，アメリカ人の他に，日本人とアメリカ人のハーフのウィリアムに加えて，香港人とアメリカ人のハーフの子，グアテマラ人とアメリカ人のハーフの子，ペルー人とアメリカ人のハーフの子，フィリピン人の子がいたりして，いろんな国からのお母さんたちと話すのも楽しいです。
William and I went to the early learning readiness program again today. He enjoyed playing with puzzles and blocks today. The coordinator decided to divide the group into two because there were just too many people in the class right now and each kid can't get enough attention. For a while one group will meet on Tuesdays and the other one will meet on Thursday until they find another instructor. It's kind of fun for me to attend this program too. I get to talk to many new people including moms from Guatemala, Philippines, and Hong Kong.
今日はまた庭でヘビを見ました。風も吹いて寒い日で（最高20度くらい），ヘビがコンクリートの日当たりの良い場所でしばらくじーっと日向ぼっこしていました。
William and I saw a snake again in our front yard. The snake was sitting still on the concrete where sun was hitting. It must have been cold since the high was like 70 degrees and it was windy too.
今朝ショッピングモールに行きました。先日も行ったカメラ屋さんにカメラのレンズの不具合を見てもらうためです。でもそれはすぐ終わり，その後また恒例のエスカレーター上り下り。結構長いことやりましたよまた。この写真はその途中で休憩してチーズクラッカーを食べているところ。おやつもばっちり持って行ってます（笑）
William and I went to the mall this morning. I had to take my camera lens in to the camera shop. And of course we had to stay at the mall to climb up and down the escalators for a while. In this picture, William was having a break, eating cheese crackers. Yeah we even bring snacks and juice whenever we go to the mall. :)
今晩の夕飯はエンチェラダ。実は結婚して初めて作りました。なんで作ったことなかったんだろう。たまに買って食べてはいたけれど。おいしかったからリピ決定。（＾ｖ＾）
I made chicken Enchilada for dinner tonight. This was the first time I made it since we got married. I don't know why I had never made it before. It was yummy and I'll definitely make it again.
ところで！なんとウィリアムが来週からプリスクール（3,4歳児の幼稚園）に行けるようになりました！申し込んであったところやほとんどのところはおむつが取れていないとダメなんだけれど，友達の友達が個人でやっているプリスクールで，おむつとれてなくてもいいって言うので，来週から行きます！月・水の午前中で，一回1時間半と短いけれど行かないよりまし。来週月曜日はこちらが祝日（Labor Day）でお休みなので来週水曜からです。これで月・水はプリスクール，火・木はYMCAの幼児教育プログラムに参加するので忙しくなりそうですが，ウィリアムが毎日何かしら学べる機会があるのでうれしいです！
By the way, I have great news! William gets to go preschool starting next week!!! My Japanese friend told me about this preschool her daughter just started going to, and they would take kids with diapers, so yeah William gets to go! It's M/W 9:30 -11:00 for $60/m. Pretty good deal. I'm very excited that William gets to go to preschool and also to the readiness program at the library this year so that he has the opportunity to go out and learn with other kids.
ウィリアムは本当なら今日からプリスクールが始まっていたのですが，オムツが取れていないため行けませんでした。でも友達からYMCAが主催の無料の幼児教育プログラムについて聞き，今日が初日で行ってきました。週2回（火・木）で一回2時間，おやつも出ます！親が付き添いのプリスクール的な感じです。ウィリアムにとって良い経験になればと思います。
William was supposed to start preschool today, but since he isn't potty trained, he couldn't go. But, my friend Maren told me about a free early learning readiness program sponsored by YMCA, and today was the first day, so I took William to the program this morning. The program is like preschool class with parents. The classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and each class is two hour long and they even get snacks for free! Hope this will be a good experience for William.
一度家に戻ってきてから，もうすぐ双子の男の子が生まれる日本人の友達の家に行ってきました。少し前にベビーシャワーでおむつケーキをプレゼントしたときに，あまりのおむつをあげるのを忘れていたので届けてきました。そこのお宅にミニトランポリンがあって，ウィリアムはそれで遊ぶのが大好き。同じくハーフのミアちゃんとサム君とギャーギャー笑って楽しそうに遊んでいました。
After we came home from the readiness program, we headed to one of my Japanese friends' house. My friend is expecting twin boys soon and I had given her a diaper cake not too long ago, but I forgot to give her the leftover diapers, so I went to drop them off. William loves jumping on their small trampoline. He was having so much fun with my friend's daughter and son, Mia and Sam. :)
ところで，今日は昨日から始まったチャレンジグループの影響で体が筋肉痛～。2か月運動しない間に筋肉がまったくなくなってしまった。。。明日も6時半起きで頑張ります！
By the way, I was sore from yesterday's PiYo exercise today. I hope I'll regain my muscle as I continue exercising.
