今日は甥っ子（ブライアンの妹の子）ティーガンの7歳の誕生日。ちょうど日曜日だったので，いつものとおり夕飯に家族（プラス友人）で集まりました。メインのメニューはティーガンの大好物のパスタ。夕飯の後に誕生ケーキとプレゼントでお祝いしました。ティーガンは大好きなレゴをたくさんもらって大興奮でした♪
It was my nephew's (Brian's sister Cori's son) 7th birthday. Since it was Sunday, we got together with the family (and friends) as we normally do and had dinner. The main menu was pasta since that's Teagan's favorite food. After the dinner we had a birthday party for him. He was super excited to get so many Lego's. :)
今日はわたしは翻訳の仕事があったので，一日中ブライアンがウィリアムの面倒を見ていてくれて，外に買い物に連れて行ってくれたり，学校の遊び場で遊ばせてくれたりしていました。おかげで今晩10時ころやっと終わりました。あと一つ火曜日締め切りのがあるので月・火で終わらせねば。
今晩は夕飯またシシカバブ！もうバーベキューできるのもわずか。今日もおいしかった～！いつもは4本がっつり食べるけど，今日は2本でストップしてみました。でもその後にチョコパイとかせんべいとか食べちゃったから意味なかったな。苦笑 ウィリアムは肉も野菜も食べないので，パンにバターと蜂蜜をつけたのと，チーズとブドウとリンゴとジュース。毎日そんなんばっかり。（－＿－；）
I had to work on my translation project today, so Brian took William out to the stores and schools and took care of him all day for me. Thanks to him, I was able to finish one of the projects tonight around 10 pm. I have another on due on Tuesday, so have to work on it on Monday and Tuesday.
We had Shish kebabs again for dinner! So yum! We can barbecue probably a few more times before it gets too cold. I usually have 4 skewers, but today I stopped after the second one. But, I had some Choco-pie and senbeis later, so may be I should have just eaten all four! William doesn't eat meat or veggies at all, so he had bread with butter and honey, some cheese, grapes, apples, and juice. He eats about the same everyday. :(
昨日の家の購入のお祝いとして，今晩久々に夕飯外食しました♪ブライアンがアウトバックがいいと言うのでアウトバックへ。8オンス（約230グラム）のサーロインを頼んだけれど，全然もっと食べれたー！お金持ちになったら20オンスの肉を食べてみたいです（笑）ウィリアムはポテトだけをぱくぱく食べていました。
We went out for dinner to Outback to celebrate on closing on our house. Brian and I both ordered 8 oz sirloin steak but I totally could have had more (I shouldn't have though). When we become rich (if that ever happens), I would like to order 20 oz steak! William was just had his favorite fries. :)
日が変わってしまいましたが，17日の投稿です。晴れて今日マイホームゲット♪と言ってもこれまで借りていた家を買っただけなのですが。そして買ったと言っても頭金5パーセント払っただけで，家の9パーセントしか所持していないのが実際のところ。でもとりあえず自分の家と呼べる持家ができました。ここにはお金たまってもっと良い家に引っ越せるまで少なくともあと5年くらいはいると思います。
We closed on our house today (17th), yay!! We were renting the same house for a little over two years, and since the house owners (the Hansens) decided to sell the house and gave us the option of purchasing it, we took the offer. We are so glad that everything worked out and that we were able to come up with the 5 % of down payment and all that. We are planning on living in this house for at least five years or so until we can save up more money and purchase a better house.

This is what we made at Activity Days last night. Paper cups turned into cute box, and there are cookies from yesterday inside of them. Aren't they cute? :)
昨日シュガークッキーを焼いて，今日アイシングを塗ってデコレーションしました（大したことないですが）。今晩の教会の「活動の日」（8歳から11歳の女の子の活動）に使います。動物の形のはもっとたくさん作ったのですが，ちょっと焼きすぎたので自分たち家族で食べます（笑）
I baked sugar cookies yesterday and put icing today and decorated. I'll need them for Activity Days for tonight. I baked more animal shaped cookies, but I kind of over baked them, so decided to leave them for my family. :)

今日，オンラインで注文してあった日本の食べ物（お菓子中心，笑）が届きました！メインはチョコパイ！！大袋が売ってなかったので，6個入りの箱を5個注文しました。全部で30個あるチョコパイだけど，家族3人みんな好きで，ウィリアムも一つぱくっと食べるので，毎日1つずつ食べたとしたら10日でなくなっちゃうじゃん！！ってブライアンに言ったら，毎週ひとつずつ食べればいい，なんてありえないことを言っていました。そんなの絶対無理です！
I received a package full of Japanese snacks in mail today. I recently ordered them online. I was most excited about choco pies. They are the best, if you have never had them before. There are two kinds of choco pies - Korean and Japanese ones. I don't want to offend anyone, but just for your info, Japanese ones are far better than Korean ones, and they are a lot more expensive too. I ordered 5 packages of choco pies (6 choco pies in a package), so there are 30 of them. That sounds a lot, but all my family members (Brian, William and I) love them, so if we eat one each for ten days, they will be gone!! When I told Brian about it, he suggested we eat one per week! He's got to be joking! That's NOT possible!!!
今朝はまた幼児教育プログラム行ってきました。ウィリアムほとんどずーっとパズルをやっていました。今日は雨も降ってとても寒い日で長袖の人が多かったです。ウィリアムの冬服を最近注文しておいてよかった。
We went to the early readiness program at YMCA this morning again. William was into puzzles most of the time we were there. It was such a cold day today (even rained) that many people had long sleeve shirts. I was glad that I had bought William's winter clothes.
今日はウィリアムのプリスクール2週目（2回目）でした。ウィリアムを送りに行った後，先日買った商品をあるお店に返品しに行ったり，友達の家の食洗機が壊れてたくさん汚い食器がたまっていると言っていた友達の食器洗いの手伝いに行ったり（笑），1時間半の間に結構いろいろできてうれしい！それからウィリアムを迎えに行ったら，先生がウィリアムがアルファベットをなぞるのを一人で上手にできて先生自身も驚いたとほめてくれてわたしもうれしくなりました（＾ｖ＾）やっぱりプリスクール行けるようになってよかったです♪
This is William's second week of pre-school (today was his second time). After I dropped him off, I was able to go to a store to return a product I purchased last week, and go to my friend's house to do the dishes (her dish washer has been broken). There is so much I can do in an hour and a half! Then as I went to pick up William, the teacher told me that she was surprised at how well he did on tracing the letter C with a pen. I'm glad he is in pre-school. He seems learning well and having a good time. :)
