智美ちゃん　Visit with Tomomi

まだブライアンが日本にいたときの投稿が途中ですが。。。今日は短大のときの友達の智美ちゃんが遊びに来てくれました。たくさん話して楽しかった♪鳩サブレをもらって，家族みんなで食べました。鳩サブレ大好き♪

I haven't finished posting things from when Brian was here, but...I had my friend from junior college over this afternoon. We talked for a long time and had a great time. She brought Hato Sabre for us. I love them!

4/5 宮島　Miyajima

ちょっと日本での生活のんびりしすぎてブログの更新してませんでした～。ということで前回の続きを。

I have been enjoying my time here in Japan and procrastinated updating my blog. So, I'll start from where I left off.

4月5日（月）は広島（宮島）に行きました。潮が引いていたので鳥居のそばまで行って10円を貼り付けてきました！ちょうど桜の時期で春休み最後ということもあって，外国人はもちろんのこと家族連れも多くてあふれんばかりの人でした。宮島ではお好み焼き，揚げもみじまんじゅう，焼き牡蠣を食べました♪夜は広島駅の近くのホテルに泊まり，駅ビルに入っているお好み焼き屋さんでまたお好み焼き♪あちこちにお好み焼きやさんがあって，広島のお好み焼き魂にある意味感動。

On Monday the 4th, Brian and I went to Hiroshima. We visited Miyajima. It was low tide when we got there, so we could walk to the Torii and stick 10 yen to the pillar. Since it was during the spring break and also cherry blossom season, there were bunch of people including families and people from other countries. While we were in Miyajima, we had some okonomiyaki, deep fried momiji manju, and char-broiled oysters. Yum! For dinner, we had okonomiyaki again at an okonomiyaki place in the Hiroshima station. I was amazed at the number of okonomiyaki place in Hiroshima. They are EVERYWHERE!!

4/2 浜松フラワーパーク&うなぎパイ工場　Hamamatsu Flower Park & Unagi Pie Factory

4月2日（土）は家族で浜松フラワーパークに行ってきました。桜はもちろん水仙，チューリップなど，いろんな花であふれていました。まだ春休みということもあって家族連れの人で混んでいましたが，天気にも恵まれて良かったです。

4/2 We went to Hamamatsu Flower Park. There were so many beautiful flowers including sakura (cherry blossoms). Since it was still spring break, there were many families visiting, but it was such a beautiful day and we enjoyed being there.

その後は，うなぎパイ工場見学♪夕方妹弟家族と夕食会を開く予定で時間がなかったのでササっと回っただけでしたが。。。お土産にうなぎパイももらって，自分でも買って帰りました。

After the park, we went to Unagi pie factory. We were planning on having dinner with my sister and brother's families, so didn't have much time at the factory, but we enjoyed walking through it and getting some free unagi pies as a souvenir. :)

日本！　Japan!

3月31日から日本に来ています。ブライアンも一緒に来ましたが，今朝（4/9）ボイシに帰って行きました。昨日まであちこちいろいろ旅行に行っていて，楽しかったけど疲れました～。日ごとの写真を少しずつ掲載していきます。最初は4月1日（金）の富士サファリパークから。

I have been in Japan since 3/31. Brian came along with me and William, but he just left this morning. I'll be posting the pictures a little bit at a time. The first ones are from 4/1, Fuji Safari Park trip.
