春休み Spring Break

日が変わってしまったけど，今日から春休みが始まりました。ウィリアムの学校は2週間休みです。通常普通の公立学校は来週から1週間だけ。
Spring break started today. Normally, public schools around here get one week off, but William's school has two weeks.


ということで，さっそく最近友達になった同じく日本人のハーフの子のお家に午前中遊びに行ってきました。写真を撮り忘れてしまったけれど基地みたいの作ったりして楽しく遊んでいました。
So, to start off, we went over to one of our half-Japanese friends house for a playdate in the morning. Forgot to take a picture, but William had a great time with his friends making a fort and stuff.


わたしはその子たちのお母さんにウィリアムの歯の治療のことで相談。このお母さんの旦那さんは歯科矯正医（歯の治療はせず，矯正とかだけやる歯医者）なのでいろいろアドバイスをもらって，結局この前最初に行った小児歯科医とは別の旦那さんの知っている小児歯科医（もっと安くやってもらえる患者思い）を勧めてもらって，そこでセカンドオピニオンをもらうことにしました。
While kids played, I talked with the mom and told her about William's recent dentist trip. The mom's husband is an orthodontist, so she talked with him on the phone and gave me some advice. She told me about the pediatric dentist whom her husband work with (and he is very conservative), and I decided to go to the dentist for a second opinion.

お友達の家から帰る途中で家の近所のマクドナルドに寄ってランチを食べました。
On the way home from friend's house, we stopped by at McDonald for lunch. :) 


残りの一日はウィリアムの宿題やら，春休みの間にやる本読みマラソン（ウィリアムは毎日一時間読むのが目標）やら音楽のクラスの宿題やらを必死でやりました。
For the rest of the day, we spend time doing his homework, reading books for his spring break Read-a-thon (William has a goal of reading one hour a day), doing music homework, etc.

その前に2時間くらいかかって近々子供が生まれる友達へのおむつケーキを作ったけれど写真撮り忘れた～！ショック（－＿－；）もうあげて来ちゃったのでありません。。。
Before we started working on his homework, I spent like 2 hours to make a diaper cake for one of my friends who is having a baby soon, but I forgot to take a picture. :( I already gave it to her, so no picture...
