パズル Puzzles

この間の土曜日にブライアンが本屋さんでウィリアムに機関車トーマスのパズルの本を買ってあげました。この本の中に5つの違うパズルが入ってます。今日はウィリアム一日そのパズルを含め，その前から持っていたアルファベットのパズルや動物のパズルを長いことやってました。一つのことに集中する型のようです。夜寝る前の本読みも同じ。2週間ほど同じ本を毎日のように読まないと（読むのは親）気が済まず，ここ最近は3歳児向けの日本語の本をわたしが毎日のように読んでいます。歯磨きとか手洗いのこととか，五十音，時計の読み方，いろんな動物や食べ物，乗り物などが載っています。長いので結構時間がかかって，ウィリアムが寝る支度をしてから寝付くまで結局一時間もかかってしまって大変です。

Brian bought William a Thomas the tank engine puzzle book. It's got 5 different puzzles in it. Today William wanted to play with puzzles, including this Thomas puzzles and two other ones (alphabet and animal ones) most of the day. He likes to do the same thing over and over for a certain period of time and move onto another thing. For the bedtime story, he asks us to read the same book (sometime several books) every night for like 2 weeks and all the sudden doesn't want to read them anymore. Now he has been wanting me to read this Japanese book for 3 years old. It talks about brushing teeth, washing hands, Japanese alphabet, how to read clocks, animals, vehicles, food, etc. It takes a while to read the whole thing and it's taken an hour from the time he starts getting ready for bed to actually he falls asleep. Sigh...
