今日はようやく畑を整えて野菜や果物の苗を植えました！
We finally planted plants in our garden today!

今年は大きいトマトと枝豆とカンタロープメロン（マスクメロン）は種から植えて室内で育てました。
This year, I grew tomatoes, cantaloupe, and edamame beans from the seeds and kept them in a planter in the house until it's ready to plant.

植えようとしているときに思いがけなく雹が降ってきてありえな～い！二日前は最高気温28度もあったのに，今日は朝3度しかなくて最高気温も15度ほど。朝は風もあって寒かった～！
While we were working on the garden, it started hailing! Whaaat?! It got up to 85 or so a few days ago, but today it was so cold! It was like 38 in the morning, and high was like 58. It was windy too in the morning.

とにかく雨にもぼちぼち降られながらの作業だったけれど，一応苗を植え終えました。先の野菜果物に加えて，今朝買ってきた日本のキュウリと日本のナス，ミニトマトも植えました。にらは去年植えたものがまたにょきにょき出てきてます。
Anyway, it rained now and then, but we were able to finish all the plants we bought today. Along with the plants I mentioned earlier, we went to Home Depot this morning and got some Japanese cucumbers, Japanese eggplants, and cherry tomatoes, and planted them all. And we have chives from last year already growing too.

あとはバジルとタイバジルとミントもプランターで育てます。
And we also got some sweet basil, Thai basil, and sweet mint. We'll be growing them in planters.

我が家の裏庭は陽当たりが非常に悪くて上手に野菜や果物が育ちません。今年はどれだけ収穫できるかな。
Our backyard doesn't get much light, so the garden doesn't do so well, but hopefully we can harvest some.
