ひらがなの練習 Practicing Japanese Letters

4日前に急にウィリアムがひらがなを勉強し始めました。先週ポートランド旅行中に紀伊国屋書店で買ってきたひらがなを練習するワークブックを毎日黙々とやっています。
All of a sudden, William decided to practice Japanese letters 4 days ago. Last week while we were in Portland, I bought him a Japanese alphabet workbook, and now he works on it everyday.

すでに80ページあるうちの30ページもやりました。やる気になったらとことんやるウィリアム。やる気になると覚えも早いです。もう名前も見ないで書けるみたいです。ひらがな読んだり書いたりするのはまだ無理かなあと思っていたけれど，このまま頑張れば行けるかも！？と期待しています。
Out of 80 pages, he has already done 30 pages. Once he gets into things, he does it religiously and learns things pretty quickly. He can now write his name in Japanese by himself. I hope he will continue working on learning Japanese letters.


ところで今日は先週旅行でお祝いしそびれたブライアンの誕生日祝いで午後Tucanos（ブラジル料理の食べ放題）に行きました。誕生日の人は誕生月の間無料になります。お店の人にいつものマラカスでお祝いしてもらいました（＾＾）
By the way, we went to Tucanos for lunch to celebrate Brian's birthday since we were traveling back from Portland on his birthday and couldn't celebrate. Birthday person gets to eat there for free during their birth month. Of course I had the employees bring maracas to Brian and sing him a birthday song.

いつもこの食べ放題に来て必ず思うこと。。。日本の焼肉食べ放題に行きたい！
Whenever I eat at Tucanos, I say "I want to go to all-you-can-eat Yakiniku place in Japan!"
