クリスマスイブ Christmas Eve

今日はクリスマスイブ。と言ってもあと30分ほどで終わってしまうけれど。まだ寝れないんです。今は明日の朝ご飯用のシナモンロールを作っている最中。まだ2次発酵中。
It's Christmas eve. Although it's going to be over in half an hour, I can't go to bed yet. Right now, I'm making cinnamon rolls for breakfast tomorrow. Dough is still rising.

今朝は日曜だったので教会に行ったけれど，クリスマスイブということもあって一時間だけの集会でした。病み上がりだったけどなんとか聖歌隊で歌を歌えました。ウィリアムも初等協会（3歳から11歳までの子供たち）の歌の発表がありました。でもいつものとおり，前に行くだけで突っ立ってるだけ（笑）
We only had one hour of church this morning. It was a Christmas program and I participated in singing two songs in the ward choir. I was sill coughing often this morning, but was fine while I sang. It was a blessing. William participated in the program with other primary kids as well. He just stood in front and didn't sing though, but what's new? lol


教会から帰って来てからは，ウィリアムはずっと遊びたがって，わたしは台所で忙しかったのでブライアンがほとんど相手をしていてくれました。途中ブライアンがぬり絵をすると言い出して，ウィリアムも自分のぬり絵を持ってきて二人でぬり絵を始めました。
After we came from church, William just wanted to keep playing. I was busy in the kitchen, so Brian was playing with him most of the time. All of a sudden Brian wanted to color and brought his coloring book. Then William went to get his coloring book and both of them started coloring.

ウィリアムは親切にもわたしにお手製のぬり絵を作ってくれました（笑）
William was kind enough to make me some coloring book (color by numbers). lol

わたしは今日はほとんどずーっと台所にいたような気がするなあ。明日ブライアンの家族と集まるときに持っていく忍者ブレッドクッキーを作り，その後は今晩の夕食のためのハンガリー風ビーフシチューを作り（仕込みで1時間，オーブンで3時間），ご飯を食べてからは台所の片付けやウィリアムの寝かしつけをしたりしながらシナモンロールにとりかかって，今にいたってます。
For the rest of the day, I spent most of the time in the kitchen. I had to bake some ninjabread cookies to take to the family Christmas dinner tomorrow. Then, I had to work on Hungarian beef stew for Christmas eve dinner tonight (It took 4 hours to cook!). Then after dinner, I had to clean the mess I had made, put William to bed, and started working on cinnamon rolls.

途中でドアベルが鳴って近所の方がバナナブレッドをプレゼントしてくれました。バナナブレッドを焼いた型もプレゼントの一部だそうで💛いただきます。
While I was decorating ninjabread cookies, the doorbell rang. One of our neighbors brought a loaf of banana bread in a baking ban. They said the pan was part of the gift. Sweet!

ただ今ブライアンサンタ🎅は準備に奮闘中。家族へのプレゼントで買った望遠鏡を必死で組み立ててます。笑　去年はウィリアムに買ったキッチンセットの組み立てで二人で奮闘したのを思い出します。
Right now, Brian Santa is busy working on bringing gifts from wherever he had been hiding them. He is currently assembling a telescope together. It's going to be a gift for all of us. I remember last year we worked hard on putting William's kitchen set together.

12時からはカトリック教会の夜中のミサが始まります。ブライアンは毎年見てるので毎年寝るのが1時過ぎ。明日のクリスマスも長い一日になるので我が家のサンタはかなり疲れるだろうな。
At midnight, the Catholic church's midnight mass will starts. Brian watches it every year and doesn't go to bed until after 1 am. It's going to be a long day tomorrow as well, so he is going to be dead tired, I'm sure.

ウィリアムはクリスマスということで一日中テンション上がってました↑↑↑今晩サンタが寝ないと来れないということで，早々と寝る支度をしたり，サンタが通れるように床に広げてあったおもちゃの線路を片付けたり，ジンジャーブレッドクッキーとエッグノッグをサンタのためにちゃんと置いておくようにと念を押されました。笑　サンタさんにメッセージも書きましたよ。
William was so excited all day today, and he started getting ready for bed a lot earlier than usual because Santa couldn't come if he was awake. He also put away some of the train tracks so Santa had room to walk through. And he asked me to make sure I put gingerbread cookies and eggnog for Santa. lol He left a note for Santa as well.

ちなみにウィリアムがクリスマスに欲しがっているプレゼントは，マグネットタイルのおもちゃと地球儀。サンタさんは持ってきてくれるかな。
William wants magnetic tiles and a globe for Christmas. Let's see if Santa brings them or not.


そうこうしてるうちにシナモンロールできました。夜中のミサも終わり，今から寝ます。
Now cinnamon rolls are done. Midnight mass is over as well, so I'm going to bed now.

今日は午後からずっと雪が降っています。まさにホワイトクリスマス⛄それではお休みなさ～い。
It's been snowing since this afternoon. It is a white Christmas here. Good night now. 

今朝の気温。マイナス10.5度。

It was -10 Celsius this morning.
