8/9 家族旅行 第2日目 Family Trip Day 2

マッコール第2日目はホットケーキと卵とベーコンの朝ごはんで始まりました。家を借りて泊まったので好きに調理できます。
Day 2 in McCall started out with pancake, egg & bacon breakfast. We stayed in a house, so we could cook whatever we wanted.

この日は釣りに行くことになっていました。
We were planning on going fishing this day.

ウィリアムは釣竿を持っていなかったので、ブライアンの弟家族が早めの誕生日プレゼントに釣竿をくれました。
William didn't have a fishing pole, so Brian's brother's family gave him a fishing pole as an early birthday present. :)

このあと、午前中は釣竿の準備をして、子供たちは裏庭で釣りの練習。
After this, we got fishing poles ready and kids practiced fishing in the backyard.

そしてアメリカでは釣りをするのにライセンスがいるので、近くのスーパーに行ってライセンスを取得。ここでブライアンの運転免許の期限が切れていることが発覚！ありえないことが多すぎる！（ボイシに戻ってきてから無事に更新できたのでご安心を。）
Then we went out to a grocery store to get the fishing license. At the store, we found out Brian's driver's license had expired on his birthday in July! Unbelievable...(No worries, he was able to renew it right after he came home to Boise.)

ブライアンの弟の子供たちが昼寝するということでいったん家に帰り、わたしたちはフィッシングライセンスを買いに行ったその足でマッコールのお店を見て回ることに。
Brian's brother's kids needed to take a nap, so they went back home, but we went to shops in downtown.

これもドラッグストア。薬局というよりは何でも屋みたいでした。

マッコールモール。中はレストレンガ数件入っていただけでした。

McCall Mall. There were only a few restaurants inside.

湖をバックに。In front of the lake.

釣りには2時ころ行く予定でした。が！結局でかけたのが夕方4時過ぎ。ありえなーい！わたしは何時に行くと言ったらその時間に出たいほうなので、イライラしました。
We were planning on going fishing in the afternoon like 2 pm, but we didn't leave for fishing until after 4 pm! Just unbelievable...

しかも雨が降り出し、湖に着いてから雷も聞こえ、しばらくして雹も降り出して、しばらく車で待機。
Just as we were leaving the house, it started raining, and when we got to the lake, we could hear thunder and rain turned into hails at some point. :( So we had to stay in the car for a while.

やっとのことで外に。寒かった。Finally got out of the car. It was cold.

本番　Fishing for real.

ウィリアムすでに飽きてます。

William was already done with fishing.

何人かはボートに乗って出かけていきました。

Some rode on a boat and fished.

湖から帰るころにはすでに7時過ぎ。そのあと夕飯を食べにパンケーキハウスというところに行く予定だったけれど、ウィリアムとわたしだけ家に戻ってみんなだけで行ってもらうことに。でもそしたらみんなも家に帰ることになって次の日の朝にパンケーキハウスに朝ごはんを食べに行くことになりました。
By the time we left the lake, it was after 7 pm. We were going to go out for dinner at The Pancake House, but William was super tired and wanted to go back to the house we were staying. So I decided to come back to the house with William and have them go eat without us, but then they decided to just come home and go out to eat at the Pancake House the next day for breakfast.

疲れ切ったウィリアム、布団に入ったらあっという間に寝てしまいました。
William was super tired and fell asleep soon right after he lied down.
