メキシコのお店 Mexican Store

いつもスペイン語を教えてくれている同じ教会に集うマリエラと一緒に，メキシコのお店（中南米の物が置いてあるお店）に行ってきました。お店にはピニャータがたくさん天井からつる下がっていたり，メキシコの音楽が流れていたり，メキシコ料理に使ったりする材料がたくさんありました。働いている人ももちろんメキシコ人。ペラペラと早口でスペイン語まくし立てられてもちょっとした単語とかフレーズが分かるくらいであとはさっぱり分かりませんでした（笑）
William and I went to a Mexican store with Mariela who has been teaching us Spanish. In the Mexican store, there were many pinatas hanging from the ceiling, Mexican songs were being played, and of course there were many Mexican food on the shelves.


お店の奥の方にはちょっとした食堂？みたいところがあって，タコスなどを注文できたり，料理されている牛肉の塊や豚の皮のフライなどを買えるようになっていました。
In the back of the store, there was a little cafe type of place where you could order food like tacos, fried pork skin etc.

わたしもちょっと買ってみました。チャーシューみたいな感じの牛肉と，肉付きの豚の皮のフライ。両方まあまあおいしかったです。
I bought some beef chunk, and deep fried pork skin with some meat. I liked them both okay.

ウィリアムにはこれを買ってあげたけれど，一口食べてもう食べませんでした。独特の匂いがするソフトキャンディーで，わたしは食べてみようとも思いませんでした。笑
I bought William this soft candy, but he just took a bite and didn't want anymore. lol It's got distinctive taste and I didn't even want to try it, ha ha.

夜は「活動の日」の活動があって，リーダーの姉妹のお家で動物クラッカー（日本で食べるようなそんなに甘くない普通のクッキーみたいだった，笑）の作り方を学びました。一時間内で大変でしたがおいしくできました♪
There was Activity Days at night. We went to one of the leaders' house and learned how to make animal crackers. It was hard making them in an hour, but we did it and they were yummy. :)
