幼児学習準備プログラム Early Learning Readiness Program

さて今年も幼児学習準備プログラムが始まりました。水曜日と金曜日の9時半から11時まで、ウィリアムと一緒に出席します。要は親と一緒のプリスクールという感じ。YMCAが主催しているけれど、このプラグラムは無料で、おやつも出るし、フィールドトリップ（遠足や社会科見学的なことも含む）にも無料で連れて行ってくれます。
Early Learning Readiness program started today. It's a free program provided by YMCA and William and I both attend twice a week (Wed/Fri) from 9:30 to 11:00 am. It's like a pre-school with parents. It provides snacks each time and take us to field trips completely free! 

今回もウィリアムは大好きなフォームブロックで遊びました。今日はほかにもアルファベットの磁石で遊んだり、絵の具で絵を描いたりしました。最初と最後のサークルタイムのときには、前年度のときにはあんまり参加してなかった感じだったのに、今回はみんなと一緒に先生の言うことを聞いてやっていたので、その成長ぶりにはちょっと感動♪
William loved building towers and houses with foam blocks today. He also played with alphabet magnets and wrote letters with paints, etc. During the circle time, he used to not listen to the instructor much and didn't participate much, but today he was participating more, and that made me happy.


今日は午後から教会へ行って、お葬式（近所に住む教会員の旦那さんの）の食事会の後片付けに行きました。そこで余ったラザニアをもらったのでそれをそのまま夕飯に。
In the afternoon, we went over to the church building to help clean up after the funeral luncheon (Sister Arlene Herman's husband passed away). There was some leftover lasagna and I got to take some home, and that's what we had for dinner tonight. 

それからそこに手伝いに来ていた姉妹の一人がリンゴがたくさんあるからほしかったら家までおいでというので、行ってもらってきました。リンゴのほかにもトマト、キュウリ、バターナットスクウォッシュももらってうれしい～♪
One of the sisters who came to help cleaning told us she had many apples we could have at home, so I went over to her house to get some. I got not only apples, but also some tomatoes, cucumbers, and a butternut squash. :)

夜は久しぶりに「活動の日」（教会の8歳から11歳までの女の子の活動）がありました。今年度、自分が神の子であることを覚えていてもらうために、鏡に「神の子です」のシールとキラキラしたシールを貼ってデコレーションしました。こういうの女の子たちは好きだよね～。
And tonight, there was Activity Days for the first time since school started. I wanted to remind the girls who they are, so I got a mirror for each girl and had them decorate it with "I am a child of God" stickers and little shiny colorful stickers. Girls loves this type of things right? :)
