中秋の名月 Harvest Moon

今日は土曜日だったけどブライアンは数時間仕事のミーティングに出かけて行き、わたしとウィリアムも教会の用事で午前中は出かけていました。
Brian had to go to work today for a meeting even though it was Saturday. William and I had to go to church in the morning for our stake Activity Days.

午後はブライアンがウィリアムを買い物に連れて行ってくれたので、その間に少し家の用事をしました。
Brian took William out for shopping in the afternoon while I did some chores in the house. 

夕飯はまたバーベキューのシシカバブ♪もう結構寒くなってきたので、バーベキューができなくなってしまう前に残りのラム肉を使い切らなければ。ハンバーガーパティも残っているので来週はバーガーかな。
We had BBQ shishkebab for dinner again. Before it gets too cold, we have to use up all the lamb that is left in the freezer. We still have hamburger patties so we'll probably have hamburgers next week.

先日は中秋の名月だったので、みたらし団子を作って食べました。曇っていて月は見えなかったけれど鈴虫の音を聴きながら団子をおいしくいただきました。ほんと最近食べ過ぎ。でもやめられない♪
It was harvest moon the other day, and we Japanese have a tradition to eat rice dumplings called dango. I couldn't see the moon, but had some dango while listening to the crickets. I have been eating so much lately, but just can't stop!
