ピクニック Picnic

今日はウィリアムがピクニックをしたいというので、裏庭にレジャーシートを敷いてランチ。と言っても２時半ころだったかな。ちゃんとしたお昼の時間に食べなくて。←ウィリアムだけ
William wanted to have a picnic, so we went to the backyard with some food and had a picnic. Well, he was the only one who ate though. This was around 2:30 pm and I had already eaten lunch at lunch time (William didn't want to eat then).


今日は夜宣教師がディナーに来たので、昼間はその準備で結構忙しかったです。ウィリアムがなかなか思うように用事をさせてくれなくて手ごわかったけれど、なんとか準備できてよかったです。
We were going to have the missionaries over for dinner tonight, so I was busy during the day getting ready for it, but it was hard while watching William.

今週火曜日に宣教師の転勤があり、ニューバース長老が転勤になって、新しくワシントン州出身のジェンセン長老（写真左）が来ました。ということで我が家のしきたりで新しい宣教師ということで納豆チャレンジしてもらいました。でもおいしくなかったようす。スミス長老（右）は先月我が家に初めて来たときにチャレンジしたけれど、ちょうどそのころ韓国の納豆しか見つからなかったので、今日は「本物の」納豆にチャレンジしてもらいました。でもやっぱりまずかったみたい（笑）
There was a missionary transfer Tuesday and we now have a new missionary, Elder Jensen (left) from Washington. It's the tradition in our home to feed Natto (fermented soybeans) to the new ones. He didn't like it though. Elder Smith (right) tried it last month when he came to our home for the first time, but I could only find Korean Natto then, so he got to try "real" Natto this time. He did not like it though. lol

ディナーにはラザニアを作りました。たくさん食べてもらえてよかった。ブライアンと何日も食べ続けなくて済む～。
I cooked lasagna for dinner. I'm glad the missionaries ate it a lot so that Brian and I don't have to eat it for days!

デザートにはレモンバーを作りました。レモンがなかったので、売ってるレモンジュースを使ったけれど、やっぱ出来上がりが自然のレモンっぽくない感じの味で微妙でした。
For the dessert, I baked lemon bars. I didn't have real lemons and just used lemon juice from the store, so they kind of had a fake lemony flavor, but tasted okay.
