アメリカ独立記念日 4th of July

今日はアメリカ独立記念日。ブライアンの実家のあるCaldwellまで行き、ブライアンの家族とパレードを見ました。

Happy 4th of July! I had a great time with my family. We went to see a parade in Caldwell with Brian's family. 

小さい町のパレードなのでそれほど混むこともなく、キャンプ用のいすやピクニックシートを敷いてゆったりと。
Since Caldwell is such a small city, there weren't that many people at the parade. We just put our camping chairs and blanket out and watched.

パレードに参加して歩いている人たちや山車からキャンディーが飛んで来るので袋を持って待機♪ウィリアムたくさんもらいました。Sometimes we would get candies and coupons to places, and it was a lot of fun. William got tons of candies.

パレードの後は、独立記念日をお祝いしている公園のそばにある、古い列車や風車などが置いてあるCaldwellの歴史博物館的なところに行きました。去年も行ったのだけど、ウィリアムは去年行ったことを覚えていて、風車を見るのをいちばん楽しみにしていた様子。でもおばかっちょのお母さん（わたし）が風車の写真を撮り忘れたので、家に帰ってきてぶーたれてました。でも去年撮った写真を見せたらとりあえず満足してくれたのでよかった。
After the parade, we went to the Caldwell history museum type of place. We went there last year as well. There are old trains, windmill, tractors, etc. William remembered we went there last year and saw the windmill (apparently it was the most exciting thing to see for him). He was so mad when we came home and found out his mom(yeah, me) forgot to take a picture of the windmill. :( I luckily had some pictures of it from last year, so I showed them to him and he was happy again.

その後は今度はミニプラレールがあるお店？に行ってしばらく電車を見ていました。トーマスも走っていてウィリアムは興味深々。
Then, we went to this place that had miniature trains which could be operated by the remote control. William was fascinated by all the trains, including Thomas. :)

その後ブライアンの実家に戻ってみんなでランチ。めちゃくちゃ食べすぎたので、今日の夕飯のバーベキューバーガーが食べれず残念。。。（ブライアンはちゃんと食べました、笑）
After that, we went over to Brian's family's house to have lunch. I had so much food that I was too full to have a BBQ burger we had planned to have for dinner. (Brian ate it fine. lol)

夜は本当は花火が上がるけど、１０時ころまで暗くならないので始まらないのでウィリアムは寝てしまうし、テレビでニューヨークの花火を見ました。去年はDCの花火を見たなあ。近所では自分たちで花火をやってる人たちがいて、多分夜中まで続きます。（－＿－；）
In the evening, many people go watch fireworks, but it doesn't start until like 10pm, and by then William gets too tired (and so do we!), so we just turned the TV on and watched fireworks in New York. Last year we stayed home as well and watched DC one. Right now people in our neighborhood are doing fireworks and it will probably go on until midnight. sigh...
