ブライアン土曜出勤 Brian Had to Work

今日は土曜日だったけれどブライアンが仕事に行かなければなりませんでした。当初2時間の予定が結局5時間くらいかかって本人相当疲れた様子。こちらもいつもはウィリアムの世話を手伝ってもらえるところを一人で面倒みなければならなかったので今日も何をしようか必死でした。
Brian had to go into work today even though it was Saturday. He was going to work only for two hours, but ended up staying at work for like 5 hours! He was pretty tired when he got home. I usually get his help on Saturdays in taking care of William, but since he wasn't home, I struggled again in finding things to do.

午前中は近所の小学校に行って遊具で遊びました。今日は曇っていたので外にいてもそれほど暑くなかったのでよかったです。
In the morning, we went to the elementary school playground nearby and played there for a while. It was cloudy today, so it wasn't so bad being outside.

午後からはLakeshore Learning Centerという幼稚園や学校の先生向けの子供用教材やおもちゃが売っているお店で無料の工作のクラスに参加してきました。チカチカブーンブーンという子供の本の絵？を真似して作ったのがこれ。初めて参加したけど楽しかったです。
In the afternoon, we went to Lakeshore Learning Center for their weekly free craft time. We made chica chica boom boom. :) We had never been there before, but it was fun.

後ろの男の子は教会の知り合いの子。右の写真の女の人は男の子のお母さん。教会のウィリアムのクラスの先生。
The boy behind goes to the same church. And the lady in the picture on the right is his mom. She is William's Sunbeam teacher. :)


それからウィリアムが「お店」を作ってほしいというので、二人で作ったのがこれ。お店の広告をわたしが切り抜いたものをウィリアムがノリで貼って作りました。
Then William wanted me to make "a grocery store" out of paper, so this is what we did.

やっとブライアンが夕方帰ってきたけど、休む暇もなく庭の手入れやバーベキューの準備。炭が足りなかったのでウィリアムを連れて買いに行ってくれました。やっとここで自分も一息。
Finally Brian came home in the late afternoon, but he had to work in the yard a little bit and get ready for BBQ. We didn't have enough charcoal, so he had to go to the store to buy some. What a busy day for him. Brian took William with him, so I was finally had a short break.


それで夕飯はバーベキューチキンと先日とれたズッキーニ。おいしゅうございました。ブライアン一日お疲れ様。
And we had BBQ chicken and the zucchini we got from our garden. They were yummy. Thank you Brian for working hard all day.
