スフレチーズケーキ Souffle Cheesecake

昨日は疲れすぎててウィリアムを寝かしつけながらそのまま自分も朝まで寝てしまいました。だからまず昨日のことを書いてから今日のこと書きます。
Last night, I was putting William to bed and fell asleep and didn't wake up until this morning. So, I'll write about what happened yesterday first, then today.


昨日はずっと作りたいと思っていたスフレチーズケーキを作りました。でもまだオーブンが壊れているから温度の調節が難しくてちょっと焦げ気味。おいしかったけどちょっとスフレさが足りないかなあという感じの仕上がりでした。
Yesterday, I baked souffle cheesecake which I had been wanting to bake for a while. Unfortunately, our oven is still not fixed, so the temperature went up and down and the cake turned out a bit over baked. It was yummy enough, but I wanted it to be a little more souffle like.

夏も真っ盛りで野菜や果物がたくさん採れる時期です。うちの畑はあんまり出来が良くないけど、なすを一つ収穫しました。まだ小さいっぽいけど端が腐りかけてるみたいだったので、全部腐っちゃう前に早めに収穫。
Our garden hasn't been doing all that great this year, but we got our first eggplant. It was still small, but the edge was getting bad, so I brought it in the house so we could eat it before it gets bad completely.

このあたりの人たちは、自分の家の庭でいろんな果物を育てています。さくらんぼ、ブラックベリー、イチゴ、ラズベリー、ぶどう、スモモ、ネクタリン、あんず、ももなど。昨日は友達が家でとれたあんずとネクタリンをくれました。自分の家でも果物育てられたらいいのにな～。
Many people around here grow their own fruits; cherries, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, grapes, plums, nectarines, apricots, peaches, etc. One of my friends gave me some of the apricots and nectarines from their yard. I wish I had some of those in our yard!

さて、今日はウィリアムのサッカークラスがありました。今日はウィリアムにしてはなかなかよく頑張ってやってました。
William had his soccer class this morning. He did pretty well following the instructions of the coach. :)

サッカーの後はいつものごとく公園の遊具の方に移動して遊び、さらにその後お友達に誘われていたので、いったん家に戻ってまたすぐに別の公園へと遊びに行きました。今日はたくさん外で遊べてウィリアムも満足そうでした。
After the soccer class, we went over to the playground area and played for a while. Then our friend had invited us for a playdate, so we came home to use the bathroom and stuff, then left again to another park. William seemed happy since he got to play a lot outside.

昨日ウィリアムの前髪だけちょっと切ってあったのを、今日バッサリと切りました。またやんちゃ坊主ぶりがアップした感じです。
I cut William's bangs yesterday, but it looked funny, so I decided to give him a full haircut. He looks more mischievous now.

そして今晩の夕飯は、大量にあるじゃがいも消費のためコロッケ♪
And our dinner tonight was croquette to use some of the many potatoes we have. (You know we live in Idaho!)
