明けましておめでとうございます☆ Happy New Year 2017!

2017年がスタートしました。夕べはチーズとサラミとアップルサイダーを食しながら年が明けるのを待ちました。
New year is here! Brian and I waited the New Year with cheese, salami, and sparkling cider. 

日曜だったので午前中は教会へ。去年は11時からだったけれど今年はもう一つのワードと時間交代で9時からスタート。
Since it was Sunday, we went to church in the morning. Our ward met at 11 last year, but this year we have church at 9, switching with another ward who meets in the same building.

終わったときにウィリアムをいつもの「光」クラスに迎えに行ったら，ウィリアムがいない！！！？廊下のずーっと向こうの教室から顔を出しているウィリアム発見。1月から進級してCTRというクラスになったのをすっかり忘れていました。もう一番小さい子のクラスじゃないんだ～とちょっとショック。寂しくなりました。
After the third hour, I went to pick up William at Sunbeam class, then he wasn't there! I was like where did he go?? Then I saw him waiting for me in front of a different room, then realized he was no longer a sunbeam!! I totally forgot everyone would move on to a new class in January and was so shocked!! He is no longer a baby. :(

ところで，朝はウィリアムがよく言うことを聞いてくれて，ちゃんとトイレも行ってすんなり着替えもしてくれて，ご飯もぐずらないで食べて，よいスタートを切りました。
By the way, William was behaving in the morning. He went to use potty, changed his clothes, had breakfast without whining at all. I thought, this year is going to be a great year!

午後教会から帰ってきてしばらくしてから，ウィリアムが突然「うんちでたかも」って❕❔(*_*)
新年早々二人してトイレの水に手を突っ込んで洗いましたよパンツを！
Then, in the afternoon, William all the sudden said "I might have pooed." I was like "WHAAAAT?!" Yep, we did wash his dirty underwear in the toilet on the first day of the year!

そうかと思ったら今度は自分が熱いフライパン（の取っ手）に触ってやけど。😢とんだ元旦です。
Then a little bit later, I burned my finger by touching the hot frying pan. I now have a blister. :( What a great way to start the new year...

この一年どうなるかな。
I wonder how this year is going to be.

正月ということで一応お雑煮作って食べました。実家で食べていたのと同じしょうゆベースの汁に大根と里芋入れて煮て鰹節をかけて食べました♪
So, we eat mochi (rice cake) to celebrate New Year. This is how my mom would prepare. In soy sauce base soup, you put daikon radish and taro, topped with dried bonito flakes.
