スノー・デー Snow Day

夜中から雪が降り，朝起きた時は10センチも雪が☃ということで朝から雪かきしました。
It started snowing last night and there was at least 4 inches of snow in the morning. So, my day started out with shoveling.


雪がひどいので今日はどこもスノー・デー（学校休み）でした。どこにも行けないので，ウィリアムと一日家の中でゆっくりと過ごしました。トーマスのDVDを見たり，トーマスの電車で遊んだり，トーマスの本を読んだり，トーマスづくしの一日でした。
Due to the heavy snow, we had a snow day today, so William and I spent all day watching Thomas and friends DVDs, playing with the train tracks, reading a Thomas book. It was literally Thomas day.

今日はブライアンが朝ごはんに持っていけるようにと思って（自分も食べたいのもあったけど）クリームパン🍞に挑戦。形と味は微妙ですが，作ったっていうことで自己満足。
In the afternoon, I baked cream bread so that Brian could take them to work for breakfast (Most of the time he takes English muffins). They don't look all that great and tasted a little different from the cream bread you can buy at the bakery in Japan, but I'm just satisfied that the fact I baked them. :)

一日中雪が降り続け，夕方また雪かきしたときには朝よりひどいことに😖もう雪を置く場所がなくなってきました。近所の人が手伝ってくれて雪の山を移動してくれたので，雪をまた積める余裕ができました。ありがたや～。
It snowed all day and I went out to shovel for the second time around 5 pm. There was so much snow (it was worse than this morning) and our snow piles have been higher and higher that I have a hard time finding a place to put all the snow. Our nice neighbor came and helped shovel our driveway and moved the pile of snow so that we would have more room to put more snow. I was very grateful for him.


家の前の道はとても雪が深くなってきて，ブライアンのトラックでも家の前の道を通るのは困難だったようです。明日も学校は休みのようなのでウィリアムとまた家で一日過ごします。何をしようか。。。
The snow is getting so deep in front of our house (court de sac) and even Brian's truck has a hard time going through the street. It looks like tomorrow is another snow day. I wonder what William and I would do tomorrow all day. 


ちなみに，明日の最高気温はマイナス11度，最低気温はマイナス21度だそうです😱
By the way, tomorrow's high will be 12 degrees and low will be -6 degrees...
