まさかのまた雪 Snow Again?!!

今朝起きたら，夜中に雪が降ったようで10センチも積もっていました！ということで朝から雪かきをしたわけだけど，雨混じりのが降ったりしたから雪が重たくてなかなか雪がかけない。もう駐車場のわきには雪を積む場所がなくなってきました。
When I woke up this morning, it had snowed overnight and we had another 4 inches of snow to shovel! The snow pile in our driveway is getting so high and it doesn't seem like we can afford to have more snow.


ということで今日もスノー・デーで学校お休み。5日連続。ウィリアムは今年始まってまだ一度もプリスクール行ってません。長い冬休みです。今日年始初めの音楽のクラスも予定されていたけれどそれもキャンセル。ウィリアムもわたしも一日中毎日家にいるのが苦しくなってきた感じ。でも家の前に雪がありすぎて我が家の車ではどこにも行けないし困りもんです。
Anyway, it was ANOTHER snow day! (5 days!!) No preschool or music class for William. It's getting hard for both William and I to be home everyday all day, but there's just so much snow in front of our house that our car will get stuck if we try to go anywhere.

今日もウィリアムといろいろなことをして遊んだけれど，シュガークッキー（フロスティングなし）を一緒に作りました。ウィリアムが材料入れたりして手伝うのが好きなのでこういう活動は時間もつぶせるしウィリアムも喜んでやってくれるし一石二鳥。もちろんクッキーも食べれるし。
One of the things William and I did today was to bake sugar cookies (without frosting). William loves to help me in the kitchen, and of course we got to eat the cookies, so it was a great activity. :)

今日はウィリアムがトーマスのDVDを見ているかひとりで遊んでいるかしている間に，作り置きの食べ物を4つ作りました。最近ほんとに食べ過ぎてかなり体重が増えたので，お菓子とかの完食をする代わりに健康的なものをおやつ代わりにしたり，夕飯として食べようかと思って。これで少しは食欲を抑えたり体重減少につながるといいけど。
While he was watching Thomas DVD or doing something else by himself today, I made some Japanese side dishes that have less calories. I have been eating so much and have put so much weight recently, so I decided to eat those things as snacks or dinner instead of other unhealthy snacks or high calorie dinner. I hope this will help me control my appetite and lose some weight.

今晩の夕飯にはクロックポットで作ったスモーキー・チポトレ・カスレーという名前のスープ。豆と野菜と鶏肉が入っていて健康的で自分好みのスパイシーな味。大好きなスープの一つです。
We had smoky chipotle cassoulet for dinner. I love this soup. It's got beans, veggies and chicken. Healthy and spicy. :)　One of my favorite soups.

今晩も雨か雪の予報だから明日またスノー・デーになるかな，ならないかな。
We'll see if we have another snow day tomorrow or not.
